The Happy Start is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.

Our mission is to help parents and caregivers build brighter futures for their children or for those children they are caring for through affordable, accessible, and accommodating toys designed and approved by pediatric experts. We also want to give back to our community through our annual donation pledge, supporting families and communities in need.

Jerry Tsai and Phillip Guerra co-founded The Happy Start in 2023. The idea began over dinner a month prior to Phillip having his first child. Read our full story.

The Happy Start products are designed for varying stages of development, ranging from newborn to age 3. We understand that every child grows and learns at their own pace, and we firmly believe that no one knows your child better than you.

We go the extra mile to ensure rigorous testing and adhere to the highest safety practices, so you can feel confident using our products with your little ones.

We test our toys during production and again before they reach the market, ensuring they meet our rigorous standards. But it doesn’t stop there - we continue to test our products throughout their life cycle to guarantee they remain safe for little hands.

We partnered with certified third-party testing lab outside of Atlanta, Georgia to independently assess our products. This globally accredited lab is recognized for their scientific excellence.
